ytmp3.com in one sentence
ytmp3.com is a registered .com address that, on the day we checked it, served one word and no converter: the title was Redirecting..., there was no heading and no form, and the domain's nameservers belonged to ParkLogic, a domain-parking and advertising provider.
The address has had several lives, though: archived captures show it running a converter of its own as recently as December 2022. This page records what we saw, explains what the odd search ytmp3 comconvert most plausibly is, and says what to do when an address you relied on stops working.
What we saw on 16 September 2026
Every cell comes from requests made from one Linux machine at about 13:00 UTC. A different machine or country may be handed something else.
| Address typed | Result | Final address | Title | Converter form? | Scripts and ad signals | App or push prompts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
ytmp3.com | 200, no redirect | ytmp3.com | Redirecting... | None. One visible word | No external script. One inline script: ad-block detection, fingerprinting, a post to ParkLogic | None seen |
www.ytmp3.com | 200, no redirect | www.ytmp3.com | Redirecting... | None. Same page | Same script, same parking account | None seen |
ytmp3.com/convert | 200, no redirect | unchanged | Redirecting... | None. Same page | As above | None seen |
Supporting detail from the same session:
- The authoritative nameservers were
NS1.PARKLOGIC.COMandNS2.PARKLOGIC.COM. That delegation is the strongest sign a name is parked. The HTML held no occurrence ofmp3,kbps,convertoryoutube, androbots.txtasked every crawler to stay away. - Six paths, including
/convertand one we invented, returned the same document with the path copied into an embedded payload. The server is a wildcard catch-all, so a 200 tells you nothing. - The inline script injected a hidden one-pixel div with ad-like class names and measured it, which is how a page detects an ad blocker. It also read the referrer, time zone, automation flag and GPU vendor, then sent those to ParkLogic's router.
- Replaying that request returned a lander titled
Category Search, headedytmp3.com, holding only advertising categories, one ParkLogic script and a © 2026 ParkLogic.com footer. The categories differed on every request, so we cannot say what an ordinary visitor sees.
Registry data agreed. An RDAP query answered by Verisign recorded YTMP3.COM as registered on 5 January 2009 and expiring on 5 January 2027, sponsored by GoDaddy.com, LLC, with the two ParkLogic nameservers. Registrant details were redacted, so the record names nobody. The same day, Flippa carried an ended listing for the name itself, showing a domain age of 17 years. This is a name being monetised, not a product being run.
What "ytmp3 comconvert" is
It is the largest search in this cluster: SEMrush records about 14,800 United States searches a month for it. It looks like a path, as though ytmp3.com had a page called comconvert. It does not.
Our reading, offered as interpretation rather than fact, is that ytmp3 comconvert is a de-dotted ytmp3.com convert: the full stop collapses in a search box and com fuses to the word after it. No third party defines the phrase, so treat this as the likeliest explanation, not a documented one. Two observations sit behind it:
- There is no converter at ytmp3.com for a
/convertpage to belong to. That path answers 200, but so did the nonsense path we invented, and both served the same one-word document. - The word convert is fused to this brand elsewhere: on the same day, ytmp3.cc answered with a 301 redirect to a host literally named convertytmp3.org, whose form carried MP3, MP4 and Convert buttons. The related searches ytmp3.com youtube to mp3 converter and www ytmp3 com show the same reflex.
What ytmp3.com used to be
The Wayback Machine makes this address more interesting than most parked names. We retrieved these captures on the same day; the 2005 to 2015 ones are filed under www.ytmp3.com:
- 11 November 2005. The earliest capture: a near-empty document with an empty title and a meta refresh to
/yt. - 31 March 2009. Titled Online Youtube To mp3 Downloader, with an "Enter a YouTube URL:" field and guest, Login and Signup accounts: a working converter.
- 6 October 2015. A different site: MYT MP3 Downloader, an Android app page offering an APK, with an instruction to turn on "Unknown Sources".
- 27 December 2019, 25 September 2021 and 4 December 2022. A converter again, titled Youtube to mp3 converter | Ytmp3.com, with a form and around forty languages, calling itself "a free online converting tool".
- 27 January 2026. Already parked: the archived body is only a script sending the browser to
/lander, the same redirect we saw in September.
So the address was a real site in at least three different forms, two of them converters. What we cannot tell you is when that stopped: the Internet Archive returned errors during our session, so 2023 to 2025 are unchecked.
Where the name leads now
On 16 September 2026 the addresses that carry this name to a working tool sent us elsewhere. ytmp3.cc answered with a 301 to convertytmp3.org, which served a page headed YouTube to MP3 Converter with a real form; ytmp3.ai and ytmp3.cx landed on the same host. ytmp3.nu answered with a 301 to ytmp3.gl, as did ytmp3.as and ytmp3.la. Two live clusters, and ytmp3.com in neither. No source covers when or why those moves happened, so we record only what we saw. Our checked list of every ytmp3 address has the wider picture, with longer notes on ytmp3.cc, ytmp3.nu and ytmp3.cx.
Is ytmp3.com safe?
We cannot give you a verdict, and we would rather say so than invent one. We did not run the address through antivirus software. What we did was read what it serves and list what that page loads, and on 16 September 2026 that was a parking stub with an ad-block detector, a browser fingerprint and a post to an advertising router. There was no ad-network tag, no push-notification code and no prompt to install anything. Nothing we saw supports calling the address dangerous, and nothing we saw makes it a converter either.
It also matters that no security vendor appears to have written about this address at all. The brand has a documented history, none of it attached to the .com. TorrentFreak reported in August 2023 that YTMP3.nu and Y2mate.nu are operated by CreativeCode Ltd of Anguilla, that YTMP3 then had over 40 million monthly visits, and that it sued unnamed competitors over allegedly fraudulent DMCA notices. It reported the case still open in May 2024, and that ytmp3.nu appeared in the RIAA's 2024 notorious-markets submission. That is reporting, not a court record.
The security write-ups follow the same pattern. Moonlock, part of MacPaw, says in its Ytmp3.cc removal guide that "Ytmp3.cc itself is not a virus", while warning that granting it notification permission means it will "follow you around the internet". MalwareTips' removal guide describes Ytmp3.cc as a site showing fake messages to trick visitors into subscribing to spam push notifications, and Surfshark's article on the same address calls it notorious for "pop-ups, banner ads, redirects, and fake download buttons". All three are about ytmp3.cc, and none mentions ytmp3.com. We have not carried their findings across.
When a converter address stops working
A parked page is the quiet version of a site going away: it answers, so nothing looks broken, but nothing is behind it. A few habits make it easy to spot.
- Read the page, not the status code. A one-word body with no form is a parking stub, and so is a page of category links with an advertising company in the footer. Parked domains answer every path you invent.
- Watch the address bar after a redirect. If you typed one name and ended on another, judge the second name. This site never moves you off itself.
- Do not install anything to make a website work. A converter that wants an APK, an extension or a player update is asking for more than the job needs.
- Take back permissions, and block pop-ups. Chrome Help covers site notifications on Android; Microsoft says to open the site's permissions and "choose Block from the dropdown menu" (Edge); Apple says "Open Settings, tap Apps, then tap Safari. Turn Block Pop-ups on" (Safari); Samsung says "Under Sites toggle off the website" (Samsung Internet). Our guide to stopping ytmp3 pop-ups covers each browser.
- Keep the copyright question in view. YouTube's Terms of Service prohibit accessing the service "using any automated means (such as robots, botnets or scrapers)" without permission. Our DMCA page covers complaints.
If you came here for a converter
You can use ours. Paste a single YouTube link and take the audio as MP3 at 192 to 320 kbps, or the video as MP4 at up to 1080p. It handles one video per link, not playlists. There is no account, no app, no advertising and no request to send you notifications, which is why this site keeps a record of the others. Open the converter and paste your link.
Questions
Is ytmp3.com the real YTMP3?
On 16 September 2026 it served no converter, so there was nothing there to be real or fake. Many sites use this name on different endings; we check each and publish what it did.
Why does ytmp3.com say "Redirecting..."?
That is the title of a parking stub. Its inline script fingerprints the browser, posts the result to ParkLogic, then replaces the page with the reply. Replaying that request handed us advertising category links.
Did ytmp3.com ever have a converter?
Yes. Archived captures show one in 2009 and again in 2019, 2021 and 2022, plus an Android app page in 2015. By the January 2026 capture it was parked. We cannot say exactly when that changed.
Is ytmp3.com unsafe?
We found no security vendor write-up about it and did not scan it. What we saw was parking and advertising: no ad-network tags, no push code, no install prompt. The pop-up reporting you may have read concerns ytmp3.cc, a different address.
Is there a page at ytmp3.com/convert?
No. That path returns something, but so does any path you invent, and all serve the same one-word document. Treat ytmp3 comconvert as a run-together "ytmp3.com convert", not a real address.
