Which YTMP3 is which? Every ytmp3 site, checked on 16 September 2026

Why there is no single YTMP3

People search for YTMP3 as though it were one website. It is not. On 16 September 2026 the name sat on the pages of several unrelated site families. Two of them did not convert a YouTube link at all: one was a file-upload tool, the other sold a Windows program.

That is why “which YTMP3 is legit” has no single answer. So we typed thirty-six ytmp3-branded addresses, one at a time, from one machine with a desktop Chrome user agent, and recorded what each answered with, where each request ended and what the final page held. Treat every row as a snapshot of that day.

What we saw on 16 September 2026

“Answered with” is the first response the typed address returned for itself. “Landed on” is where the request ended.

The families, one by one

Grouped by where they finished, the thirty-six addresses collapse into a handful of sites.

convertytmp3.org: .cc, .cx, .ai

All three redirected to one destination, resolved to one address and served a byte-identical page. It states its limits in plain text: MP3 up to 240 minutes at 192 kbps, MP4 up to 30 minutes at 360p, and its FAQ says quality cannot be changed. The write-ups we checked name ytmp3.cc, not ytmp3.cx or ytmp3.ai: see ytmp3.cc today and ytmp3.cx and ytmp3.ai.

ytmp3.gl: .nu, .la, .as

A separate group on a separate address, delivering a page byte-identical to the one ytmp3.gl serves directly, canonical link included. ytmp3.gl shares a page template and a nameserver set with convertytmp3.org: infrastructure overlap, not evidence of common ownership. Detail on the ytmp3.nu, .la and .as page.

media.ytmp3.gg

The odd one out. ytmp3.gg served no converter of its own, and the page it redirected to was an upload tool, not a link-based one: its only input was a hidden file field in a drop zone headed “Drop video file here”. It advertised a paid “Lifetime Supporter” tier. More on media.ytmp3.gg.

ytmp3.vg: .lu, .vg

ytmp3.lu redirected to ytmp3.vg and the two documents were identical to the byte. ytmp3.vg was registered about six weeks before this check, and its clients page offered a Windows build and an Android package, with instructions for getting past SmartScreen warnings.

mp3cow, through .fi

ytmp3.fi kept no site of its own: it redirected every path, robots.txt included, to mp3cow.com, a page on which the string “ytmp3” did not appear once. Its converter’s text field and Convert button were character-for-character identical to the pair archived on ytmp3.fi in April 2025. See the ytmp3.fi page.

ogmp3, through .ec, and .ws

ytmp3.ec finished off-domain on ogmp3.com, whose title said YTMP3 while its body text said OGMP3. ytmp3.ws served that template on its own domain, branded YTMP3 throughout, with the same quality menus and sponsored app link.

The /enNN sites: .mobi, .ch, .sh, .net

Four domains redirecting their apex into a numbered path, and four different sites. ytmp3.mobi dates to a 2017 registration; ytmp3.ch carried a legacy analytics id and a web-push configuration; ytmp3.sh took a search term, not a link; ytmp3.net offered MP3 only and loaded the OneSignal SDK.

Standalones, and the non-converters

ytmp3.lol, ytmp3.fr and ytmp3.plus each served a site of its own, as did ytmp3.wtf, on ytmp3.mobi’s template. The rest were not converters: parking stubs at ytmp3.com and .co, for-sale pages at .pro, .io, .online and the end of the .cv chain, landers at .eu and .pw, redirects away at .org and .to, a casino lobby at .dev, and .app with no address record.

Is YTMP3 down? How to read the table

People ask whether YTMP3 is down, and the table shows why that cannot be answered as asked. Three different things get reported as being down.

• The address no longer serves anything of its own. It works, but you finish elsewhere under another name, as with .cc, .nu, .fi and .ec.
• It was never a converter, or has stopped being one. ytmp3.com answered with a one-word parking stub, ytmp3.pro was for sale, ytmp3.app had no address record.
• The converter itself did not work. On ytmp3.wtf the Convert button arrived switched off, which reads as an outage but was a property of the page served then.

So read the address bar after the page settles, not the address you typed. If the name there is not the one you went to, advice about the old name may not apply.

Which one is safe? What the reports cover

We can say what each address did and what its HTML held on one day, from one machine. We did not run these sites through an antivirus and did not click through a conversion. What a page loads once you interact with it can differ from what it serves on arrival, so an absence of tracking signals in the delivered HTML is not an all-clear.

The published reporting is narrower than people assume. Comparitech’s guide by Ian Garland, updated 6 July 2026, says ytmp3.cc “redirects users to potentially unsafe sites”, while also saying it is not a virus as such, just a site that rips audio from YouTube. Moonlock’s write-up by Ray Fernandez, published 3 March 2026, draws the same line: “The website itself – the way it’s coded and designed – is perfectly fine.”

Beyond ytmp3.cc and ytmp3.nu, only ytmp3.sh has a write-up of its own. PCrisk reported on 8 August 2022 that it “uses rogue advertising networks”; MalwareTips wrote a day later that its notification adverts were “for adult sites, online web games, fake software updates, and unwanted programs”. Both are 2022 observations, not evidence about that domain today; for the rest of the table we found nothing published.

Those accounts turn on one mechanism: a notification permission, granted once, that keeps delivering adverts after you leave. The steps to revoke it are on our page about YTMP3 pop-ups. Separately, Canada’s first stream-ripper blocking order, as Music Business Worldwide reported on 19 June 2026, named ytmp3.lat, which is not an address above.

How to tell you are on this site

This site uses the YTMP3 name too, so it belongs in the same accounting. Its address is fixman.com.pl, and it has no connection to any domain above.

What you get here is narrow on purpose. Paste one YouTube link and the converter returns MP3 at 192 to 320 kbps, or the video as MP4 up to 1080p. One video per link, no playlists, no account, no adverts, no app, and the page never asks to send browser notifications. If you are unsure which YTMP3 you are on, the address bar settles it.
