ytmp3.plus in one sentence
ytmp3.plus is a live converter that carries the YTMP3 name but leads with video: on 16 September 2026 the bare address redirected to /mp4/, and the page that loaded was titled YouTube to MP4 Converter - YTMP3.plus, under the heading Fastest YouTube to MP4 Converter.
That is the confusion behind the search in one line: ytmp3 plus keeps MP3 in the name and puts MP4 on the page. Both readings are true at once, because the site offers two output formats and has given the video one its title, its heading and its address. Below is what we typed, what the server sent back, what its script contains, and what third parties have published about the name.
What we saw on 16 September 2026
Every line below comes from requests made from one machine on 16 September 2026, with a desktop Chrome user agent. Another day or country may give a different result.
| What we checked | What we saw |
|---|---|
| Address typed | https://ytmp3.plus/ |
| Result | HTTP 301 to https://ytmp3.plus/mp4/, which returned HTTP 200 |
| Other entry points | The www and plain http addresses ended at that same page, and so did ytmp3.plus/mp3/ |
| Page title | YouTube to MP4 Converter - YTMP3.plus |
| Heading and page text | Fastest YouTube to MP4 Converter, followed by 261 words of visible text |
| Converter form | Present, same domain: a required field named video and a button labelled Convert |
| Formats | Two buttons, MP3 and MP4. No bitrate and no video resolution named anywhere |
| External scripts in the HTML | None. The only script tag pointed at its own /js/ytmp3.js |
| Tracking in that script | A function called unconditionally at load that builds a Google Analytics tag for G-3N1NYPXSBR |
| Ad-network code | No third-party ad SDK matched our searches, though the script holds an ad-frame address on ad.ymcdn.org |
| Push code | None: no Notification, requestPermission, serviceWorker, PushManager or OneSignal |
| App or extension prompts | None in the page or its script. The page did carry a tip link to ko-fi.com and a "Top Sites" link to mywap.org |
| Registry record | Registered 1 February 2021, registrar Name.com, registrant redacted, with a registrar transfer recorded on 23 December 2025 |
Two details deserve pulling out. The first is the script. The page the server sends is small, so a check that read only the delivered HTML would report no tracking here at all. The tracking sits in the site's own obfuscated JavaScript, which also builds the hostname .ymcdn.org at run time out of character codes rather than writing it in the source, then joins that to the prefixes for its conversion endpoint and for an ad frame. We read that file rather than running it.
The second is where a failure sends you. The script's error template links to a second domain, ytmp3.mobi, so a failed conversion offers a link on that address. The Internet Archive's capture from 3 April 2021 shows ytmp3.plus answering with a redirect to ytmp3.mobi rather than serving a site of its own, and on the day we checked the two domains still used the same asset-path convention, /js/ytmp3.js?t= with a cache-buster five seconds apart. Those are dated observations, not a claim about ownership: the registry hides the registrant, nobody has published a link between the two, and their scripts do not share a hash.
The site's own words pull in different directions. Its meta description advertises "No registration, no ads" and the page carries a tip link reading "help me stay ad-free", while its FAQ that day told visitors to disable their ad blocker or the download button may disappear. The same FAQ said the audio quality cannot be changed, and the page's own feature list claimed that, unlike other websites, it lets you convert and download videos that are blocked in your country.
MP3 in the name, MP4 on the page
The two formats are not interchangeable, and the name sends people to the wrong one. An MP3 is audio only, so it stays small and plays in any music app. An MP4 carries picture and sound together, so it is larger and opens in a video player rather than a music library.
On ytmp3.plus the MP3 button exists, but the site's shape favours video: /mp3/ has no page of its own and redirects to /mp4/, and the canonical link, title and heading are all about MP4.
The wider problem is that the YTMP3 name has never belonged to one site. On the day we checked, ytmp3.cc and ytmp3.ai both redirected to convertytmp3.org and returned a byte-identical nginx page, ytmp3.nu redirected to ytmp3.gl, and ytmp3.plus sat on Cloudflare with its own assets. TorrentFreak reported in March 2022 that one YTMP3 complainant had nearly two dozen rival URLs removed from Google's results, and that the original site is downranked often enough that copycats outrank it.
We checked the others separately: what ytmp3.cc does today, where ytmp3.nu lands, the tool pages behind ytmp3.gg, and the parking stub on ytmp3.com.
Is ytmp3 plus safe?
People ask whether ytmp3 plus is safe and whether it is legit; both want a verdict. No security vendor has published a description of how this address behaves, so we are not going to invent one. Here is what exists, and where it stops.
Only one security vendor names ytmp3.plus at all. PCrisk's ytmp3.cc write-up, last updated in April 2022, carries a summary table with a "Related Domains" row, and ytmp3.plus appears in it alongside ytmp3.ooo. That row makes no claim about how ytmp3.plus behaves. Everything the article describes, it describes about ytmp3.cc, which it labels as push notification ads, unwanted ads and pop-up ads while also saying it "does not specifically operate as malicious website". A list entry is not a finding.
Everything else covers other addresses, or the brand in general. PCrisk published a separate guide for ytmp3.sh in August 2022, saying that site "can show notifications to promote dubious pages". MalwareTips wrote about ytmp3.nu in February 2023, saying that site "displays shady ads" and uses the browser's push notifications to deliver spam, and it also runs a guide that names no address at all: that advice is written against a brand rather than a site. Moonlock, in March 2026, puts the risk in the layer around the converter, warning about fake download buttons and about what follows once you grant a site permission to send notifications. Softorino, updated in August 2026, answers the general question with a plain no for repeat use, naming no domain.
The legal record points elsewhere again. TorrentFreak reported in June 2026 that a Canadian Federal Court order covers Y2mate.ws, YTmp3.lat, Savefrom.space and Spowload.cc, with nine Canadian internet providers required to block those four names for two years; Music Business Worldwide puts the ruling on 15 June 2026. The ytmp3 domain on that list is ytmp3.lat, which did not resolve for us on 16 September 2026, and nothing in that coverage names ytmp3.plus. The pattern is old: TorrentFreak reported in October 2017 that MP3Juices.cc and YtMp3.cc had closed themselves to UK visitors, listing both among the sites the RIAA had highlighted in a letter to the US government.
What we can say for ourselves is narrow. We looked at what one page loads on one day. We did not run it through an antivirus, complete a conversion or open a downloaded file. Within those limits, the page held no push code, no third-party ad SDK we recognise and no third-party script, while its own script held a Google Analytics tag and an ad-frame address. That is a description, not a clearance.
- Check the address bar before you paste anything. The ending decides which operation you are dealing with.
- Refuse any request to send notifications. It is that permission, rather than the download, that the guides above describe as the thing delivering pop-ups afterwards; our guide to removing ytmp3 pop-ups has the steps per browser.
- Be wary of a download button that appears only once you disable an ad blocker.
- If a site offers an installer or an extension instead of a file, stop there.
- Copyright rules apply whatever a site claims. Our copyright and takedown page sets out where we stand.
If you came here for a converter
If you searched for ytmp3 plus because you have a link and want a file, use this site instead. Paste one YouTube link and choose MP3 at 192 to 320 kbps or MP4 at up to 1080p. It takes one video per link, does not do playlists, and asks for no account. No ads, no app, no browser notifications. If you would rather read the other addresses first, start with the checked list of ytmp3 sites, or open the converter.
Questions
Is ytmp3.plus the same site as ytmp3.cc?
Not on the evidence we have. On 16 September 2026 ytmp3.cc redirected to convertytmp3.org and served an nginx page, while ytmp3.plus sat behind Cloudflare with its own page and script. We found no published source connecting them.
Why does ytmp3.plus open an MP4 page?
Because the site is positioned on video. Its bare address redirected to /mp4/, its /mp3/ address redirected there too, and its title, heading and canonical link all say MP4. An MP3 button is offered, but there was no MP3 landing page.
Has any security vendor examined ytmp3.plus?
None has published a description of its behaviour. PCrisk lists ytmp3.plus in a "Related Domains" row on its page about ytmp3.cc, which is a list entry, not a finding. The other guides cover ytmp3.cc, ytmp3.nu, ytmp3.sh or the name in general.
Can you choose the audio quality on ytmp3.plus?
Its own FAQ said no on 16 September 2026, answering that the quality of converted files is always the same, and the page named no bitrate or resolution. On this site you choose MP3 between 192 and 320 kbps, or MP4 up to 1080p.
Is ytmp3.plus blocked anywhere?
Not that we could find. The Canadian blocking order reported in June 2026 names Y2mate.ws, YTmp3.lat, Savefrom.space and Spowload.cc. The ytmp3 domain there is ytmp3.lat, not ytmp3.plus, and we found no other order naming it.
